Job summary

Memorial Medical Center in Las Cruces, NM, seeks a Senior Director of Physician Services to lead all aspects of physician practice management, drive financial and operational performance, and integrate physicians into the Lifepoint Health delivery system.

The role oversees strategic initiatives, professional development, and collaboration with HR and hospital leadership to optimize EMR, quality, and productivity across employed practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum ten (10) years of experience managing physician practices.
• Ability to travel up to 75% of time.
• Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, direction and ongoing administration for all aspects of Physician Practice Management.
• Oversee financial and operational performance and align with hospital strategic initiatives.
• Coordinate integration of physicians into the Group's delivery system.
• Design and evaluate professional development strategies within Physician Services.
• Supervise Market Directors/Managers and oversee staffing needs.
• Develop programs and services to support long-range strategic direction for employed physicians.
• Assist with due diligence for Employed Practice acquisitions and monitor financials.
• Coordinate start-up of new practices and ensure EMR and record-keeping readiness.
• Communicate operational opportunities to Hospital CEO, Group President, and Physician Services.
• Maintain comprehensive files and ensure compliance with policies and regulatory standards.
• Lead budget development and monthly/annual variance reporting with corrective actions.
• Ensure execution of meaningful use roadmap and EMR strategy alignment.
