Job summary

Reporting to the Associate Chief Legal Officer, you will draft and negotiate complex agreements, supervise contracting staff, ensure compliance with Stark, Anti-Kickback and HIPAA, and guide budgeting and governance for physician

Qualifications

• 8+ years of legal experience in provider arrangements and healthcare transactions.
• Juris Doctor from ABA-accredited law school.
• Excellent executive level verbal and written communication skills; ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice.
• Knowledge and understanding of Stark, Anti-kickback, False Claims Act, and HIPAA.
• Excellent contract drafting and negotiation skills.
• Excellent organization, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• High degree of credibility, integrity, and confidentiality.
• Able to work independently, self-motivated, and collaborative in a team.

Responsibilities

• Draft and negotiate provider contracts and compensation terms and act as primary point of contact for all provider contracts and arrangements.
• Provide oversight and supervise contracting staff on the drafting of provider contracts.
• Be the subject matter expert for provider transactions and compensation and ensure contracts comply with applicable policies and regulations.
• Support mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and other healthcare transactions.
• Identify and address legal risks in provider compensation models and value-based care arrangements.
• Advise on corporate structure and governance issues related to provider practices and hospital affiliations.
• Collaborate with CMO to develop contracting budget and provide annual leadership summary.
• Manage approval process of provider compensation for executive leadership and committees.
• Develop and maintain clause library and contract templates; implement improvements.
• Promote best practices for knowledge management and regulatory tracking.
