Shape the future of physician recruitment at El Camino Health Medical Network as their next Director, Physician Recruitment, in Los Gatos, California!

The Position

• The Director, Physician Recruitment is responsible for leading physician and advanced practice provider recruitment strategy for El Camino Health Medical Network.
• Reporting to the Vice President of Physician Strategy & Business Development, this leader will oversee a team of four direct reports.
• Key responsibilities include strengthening the recruitment function by assessing current workflows, establishing meaningful goals and performance expectations, and ensuring the team effectively utilizes available resources to meet recruitment needs.
• A significant focus will be developing the team through hands‑on coaching and mentorship, identifying performance gaps, and creating the structure and accountability needed to consistently achieve recruitment goals.
• The ideal candidate will be a motivated, hands‑on leader with strong Medical Group experience who can bring structure, accountability, and energy to the team. This individual should be approachable and engaging, with the ability to build trust, coach and develop others, and motivate a growing team through change. Recent physician/provider recruitment experience and a willingness to step in and support challenging searches when needed will be essential.
• The position is onsite in Los Gatos, California.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• A minimum of seven years of progressive recruitment experience required, preferably within a healthcare or Medical Group environment, coupled with at least three years of physician/provider recruitment leadership, recruitment strategy, or recruitment program management experience.

Compensation Range

• The base salary range for this position is $218,000 to $249,000 annually. In addition, a leader may be eligible for other benefits, including but not limited to health insurance coverage, retirement benefits, and bonuses. The total compensation for the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The base salary range listed above is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
