UnitedHealth Group’s Optum unit seeks an Associate Director of Pharmacy Informatics to lead enterprise informatics strategy and deliver technology-enabled solutions that improve safety, effectiveness, affordability, and care-team workflows.

You will configure and support EHR tools, translate data into insights, and partner with clinical, technology, and executive stakeholders; remote work within the U.S. is allowed.

Qualifications

• PharmD degree and active pharmacist license.
• 5+ years clinical pharmacist experience including operations and Pharmacy & Therapeutics.
• 5+ years in clinical informatics with EMR tools development.
• 3+ years of experience with medication software configuration, testing, and implementation.
• 3+ years of Epic EHR experience.
• 3+ years of professional project management experience.
• Experience communicating with diverse stakeholders and managing competing priorities.

Responsabilités

• Lead pharmacy informatics strategy across national, regional, and local teams.
• Oversee design, configuration, testing, implementation, troubleshooting, and ongoing support of medication-related EHR programs.
• Develop technology solutions that improve medication safety, clinical effectiveness, cost efficiency, and care-delivery workflows.
• Use data and partner with analysts to develop dashboards, define KPIs, identify opportunities, and measure value.
• Lead complex cross-functional projects through scope, risk mitigation, and on-time launches.
• Provide advanced pharmacy informatics expertise to partners.
• Present recommendations and outcomes to senior leaders and governance bodies.
• Chair the pharmacy subcommittee of the EHR Governance Clinical Steering Council.
• Collaborate with external vendors, including Surescripts, on quality initiatives.
• Coach and mentor team members in a matrixed environment.
