Job summary

UnitedHealth Group (CPS, Optum family) seeks a Director of Pharmacy to oversee system-wide operations across multiple hospitals. You will lead strategic pharmacy services, ensure compliance, and guide a full support team.

This high-impact role requires a PharmD or B.S. in Pharmacy, NM licensure, and proven leadership. You will shape clinical protocols, manage formularies, and partner with executives to advance analytics and innovative care across the health system.

Qualifications

Requires a B.S. or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy
Current Licensed Pharmacist in New Mexico
Experience with pharmacy information systems and related software
Knowledge of state and federal laws governing pharmacy services

Responsibilities

Provide system-wide strategic leadership for pharmacy services across multiple hospitals and care settings
Optimize and standardize medication use practices and formulary management
Lead and develop pharmacy leadership teams and ensure accountability
Ensure enterprise-wide regulatory and accreditation compliance
Oversee system-level financial performance including contracting, purchasing and cost-reduction
Collaborate with executive leadership and external partners to support integrated care
Drive innovation, analytics and new models of care across the health system
