Job summary

Aspen Valley Health in Aspen, CO seeks a Director of Perioperative Services to lead Surgery, PACU, Sterile Processing and related areas, ensuring high-quality patient-centered care. You will coordinate with surgeons and anesthesia teams, manage budget responsibilities, and guide staff around a 24-hour operation in a community hospital setting.

Requirements include a BSN, CO RN license, BLS/ACLS, and at least five years in perioperative leadership and ORRN roles; MSN/CNOR/PALS preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Unrestricted RN license in Colorado or ability to obtain before start date.
• BLS; ACLS required.
• ACLS certification is required.
• At least five years of perioperative management experience.
• At least five years as an OR Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Directs care and services for Perioperative Services (Surgery, PACU, SDS, PAT, Sterile Processing, Endoscopy and Anesthesia).
• Coordinate, communicate and collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia providers.
• Plan, organize, lead and coach perioperative staff on a 24-hour basis.
• Prepare and be accountable for annual department budget and variance analysis.
• Promote teamwork and inter-department collaboration; assist in direct patient care when needed.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)

Unrestricted license to practice as an RN in Colorado

Master's in Nursing (MSN) preferred

CNOR Certification preferred

PALS preferred
