We seek a strategic People Business Partner with a product mindset, deep workforce strategy experience, and strong data fluency to advise senior leaders and shape the People agenda to foster organizational growth, agility, and performance. This role can be based in New York, NY or Pittsburgh, PA, and is hybrid (4 days/week).
Key Responsibilities
- Operate as a strategic partner to executive leaders, co-creating workforce strategies aligned with product roadmaps, business priorities, and long-term organizational vision.
- Apply a product mindset to the People organization by iterating on solutions based on feedback, data, and evolving needs; prioritize scalable, user-centric, and outcome-driven solutions.
- Lead large-scale transformation initiatives, including organizational design, change management, and operating model evolution to improve operational efficiency and cultural change.
- Utilize workforce analytics to generate insights, guide talent decisions, and inform workforce planning at enterprise and functional levels.
- Build and lead a high-performing team combining business acumen, analytics, and people expertise to achieve impactful outcomes.
- Translate complex organizational challenges into actionable plans supported by data and business narratives.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the bank’s operations, structure, and strategic goals to effectively partner with leaders and align people strategies.
- Partner cross-functionally with People Ops, Talent, L&D, and DEI to deliver integrated, forward-looking people programs.
- Influence C-level stakeholders with strategic insights and data-driven recommendations to enhance team effectiveness, engagement, and execution.
Qualifications
- 12+ years in people strategy, organizational development, or change management, including 5+ years in a leadership role, preferably within a platform/product organization.
- Experience leading workforce strategy, employee experience, product management, and transformation to solve talent challenges and deliver business value.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to strategize talent solutions that propel the business forward.
- Proficiency with analytics and HR systems/tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Visier, SQL).
- Ability to deliver scalable, adaptable, and user-centered solutions with a product mindset.
- Executive presence, sound judgment, and understanding of business and organizational dynamics.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree in HR, Organizational Psychology, or Business preferred.
Additional Information
BNY offers competitive compensation, benefits, and wellbeing programs. The base salary range is $175,000 to $250,000, determined based on experience and location, and may include bonuses and incentives. This position is at-will, with the right to modify compensation at any time.
