Job description

At MNTN, we put our people first, full stop. This allows our company culture to be defined by our team members, and their shared values, like trust, ambition, quality, radical honesty, and compassionate leadership. It's why we all really love working for the Hardest Working Software in Television (and also why we were named one of Ad Age's Best Places To Work in 2024.)

We pride ourselves on bringing unrivaled performance and simplicity to Connected TV advertising. Our self-serve technology makes running TV ads as easy as search and social and helps brands drive measurable conversions, revenue, site visits, and more. It's what led MNTN to being named one of Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies in 2023. You can learn more about us and everything we do by visiting https://mountain.com/.

We're committed to innovation that empowers, not replaces. At MNTN, AI is a tool for growth, enhancing efficiency while keeping a people-first approach. Our goal is to streamline workflows and drive new solutions—without compromising the human element that makes our company great.

So if wanting to do more, own more, and make a bigger impact comes naturally to you, then you may be the person we're looking for to join us in our next stage of growth.

We're seeking a dynamic and deeply technical Senior Director of Partnership Integrations to join our Product and Engineering organization. This role is uniquely positioned at the intersection of business development and software engineering. You will lead strategic technology partnerships from inception to integration, drive joint solutions with key partners, and represent our technical capabilities with clarity and confidence.

You must have a proven track record of closing big partnerships, negotiating large contracts, leading cross-functional integrations, and translating complex systems into scalable solutions. Your ability to communicate with partners, engineers, and executives, and your strong project management and organizational skills will be critical to your success.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead Integration Partnerships: Own the full lifecycle of technical partnerships—from identifying opportunities to negotiating technical and financial terms to overseeing implementation.
  • Be the Technical Face of the Business: Represent MNTN in technical partner meetings, customer engagements, and industry events. Navigate and influence complex customer and partner ecosystems with credibility and clarity.
  • System Design & Technical Strategy: Participate in architectural and system design discussions. Drive end-to-end technical scoping, design, and implementation for partnership-related projects.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Sales, Business Development, and Engineering teams to ensure alignment on goals, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Walk the Technical Walk: Dive into technical business logic and talk through system design and architecture when needed. Demonstrate valuable technical acumen and collaborate with engineering teams.
  • Project Ownership: Manage your own roadmap, deadlines, and communication cadences. Ensure transparency by keeping integration workstreams up-to-date and accessible to stakeholders.
  • Scale with Data: Leverage your data engineering experience to guide data integration pipelines, shared infrastructure, and scalable data strategies across external and internal systems.

What You'll Bring:

  • 10+ years of experience in partner engineering, solutions architecture, or technical business development.
  • 10+ years of experience working in relationship-driven roles, with partners, customers, or external stakeholders.
  • A proven ability to close large-scale enterprise or strategic partnerships, with a strong track record in customer persuasion and high-stakes negotiations.
  • A strong software engineering foundation—comfortable in backend, systems, or data engineering domains—with the ability to pass a technical system design interview.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with executive presence and the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience leading technical integration efforts from conception through deployment, ensuring alignment across multiple teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects with clarity, efficiency, and a sense of ownership.
  • Proficiency in using project management tools (e.g., Asana, Jira, Notion) to track work and maintain visibility for cross-functional stakeholders.
  • A self-starter mindset—comfortable operating in ambiguity and taking initiative in fast-paced, dynamic environments.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in the ad tech, martech, or digital media ecosystem.
  • Experience scaling technology partnerships in a high-growth SaaS or platform company.
  • Previous startup or early-stage company experience.

MNTN Perks:

  • 100% remote within the US
  • Flexible vacation policy
  • Annual vacation allowance for travel related expenses
  • Three-day weekend every month of the year
  • Competitive compensation
  • 100% healthcare coverage
  • 401k plan
  • Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for dependent, medical, and dental care
  • Access to coaching, therapy, and professional development
