Job summary

Welcome to the Tarsanet Internal Career Center! seeks a Director of Formulation Development to lead oral drug product development across the Tarsus portfolio, driving scientific strategy and execution through CROs/CMOs and internal teams.

You will advance products from preclinical through Phase 3 and technology transfer, ensuring scalable, phase-appropriate formulations and control strategies. The role reports to the VP of Manufacturing Operations & Supply Chain and requires extensive experience

Qualifications

• Minimum of 15 years in pharmaceutical work experience, preferably in development/manufacturing.
• At least 5 years of people management experience in a virtual or externally networked company.
• Expertise in oral formulation and drug-product process development, including tablets and capsules.
• Strong knowledge of cGMP requirements and FDA/EMA/ICH guidance.
• Experience directing outsourced formulation development through CROs and CMOs with governance of quality, cost, and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead Formulation Development with scientific, technical, and people leadership for teams.0Develop strategies for tablets, capsules, and other oral dosage forms using a QbD approach.
• Direct external preformulation, formulation, and process development with CROs/CMOs, including design, execution, data interpretation, and decisions.
• Manage, coach, and develop product development personnel; allocate resources and vendor management.
• Establish operating model for external development with governance, documentation, and data integrity.
• Provide technical leadership for CMO selection, tech transfer, scale-up, and regulatory readiness.
