Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Head of Optical & Radar Strategic Supply Chain in Costa Mesa. This Director-level role will architect sourcing strategies for AESA, EO/IR, optics, LiDAR, RF modules, and related components, overseeing a global team and cross-functional alignment with engineering, quality, and manufacturing.

You will navigate complex defense supply channels, lead negotiations on MSAs and long-term agreements, and maintain supply continuity amid volatile markets while traveling

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in optical & radar strategic sourcing, global commodity management, or supply chain leadership.
• 5+ years of proven experience building, managing, and scaling procurement or supply chain teams.
• Demonstrated expertise negotiating enterprise-level agreements and managing EO/IR architectures or precision optics fabrication.
• Proven track record of managing supplier lifecycles and negotiating complex multi-million-dollar agreements.
• Deep understanding of New Product Introduction (NPI) workflows and scaling from prototype to high-rate production.
• Ability to travel up to 25%-50% domestically and internationally.
• Ability to relocate, if not already local to be onsite in Costa Mesa.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute multi-year global sourcing strategies across complex sensor domains.
• Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team across multiple global sites.
• Drive deep sub-tier visibility beyond Tier 1; manage tooling and testing fixtures.
• Partner with Optical Engineers, RF Designers, and Sensor Architecture teams on R&D/NPI.
• Lead negotiations for MSAs, development agreements, and long-term supply agreements.
• Identify single-source risks, geopolitical vulnerabilities, and capacity constraints; develop risk mitigation.
• Champion should-cost modeling and TD/OI analyses from concept to end-of-life.
• Conduct regular executive reviews with C-suite on supply chain matters.
