Job summary

Rosenthal Search Partners is partnering with an established utility-scale solar EPC contractor to identify a Senior Director of Operations / Project Executive to oversee the execution and financial performance of multiple large-scale solar projects across the United States.

This role carries significant operational and commercial responsibility, including P&L ownership and leadership of multiple project teams.

Qualifications

• Direct experience working for a utility-scale solar EPC contractor is essential.
• Proven experience delivering utility-scale solar projects of 100MW+ capacity.
• Background in Senior Project Manager, Manager of Projects, Senior Manager of Projects, or Project Executive positions.
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects concurrently with delivery teams.
• Strong financial accountability, including EPC project budgets, cost forecasting, profitability and P&L.
• Travel regularly to project sites throughout the United States.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the successful execution of multiple utility-scale solar EPC projects simultaneously.
• Manage portfolio-level P&L, including budgets, revenue, profitability, forecasting and margin performance.
• Provide leadership and direction to Project Managers, Senior Project Managers and construction delivery teams.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to contractual requirements.
• Oversee project controls, procurement, subcontractor management, change orders and commercial risk.
• Partner with engineering, construction and executive leadership to drive operational efficiency.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, developers and key project stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve project delivery, financial performance and operational processes.

The Opportunity

Rosenthal Search Partners is partnering with an established utility-scale solar EPC contractor to identify a Senior Director of Operations / Project Executive to oversee the execution and financial performance of multiple large-scale solar projects across the United States.

This position carries significant operational and commercial responsibility, including P&L ownership, oversight of substantial project budgets, and leadership of multiple project teams.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have progressed through Senior Project Manager, Manager of Projects, Senior Manager of Projects, or Project Executive positions within established utility-scale solar EPC contractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the successful execution of multiple utility-scale solar EPC projects simultaneously.

• Ability to travel regularly to project sites throughout the United States.

Preferred Experience

• Experience managing portfolios of utility-scale solar projects across multiple geographic locations.
• Experience progressing from hands-on project management into broader operational or portfolio leadership.
• Additional utility-scale BESS EPC experience is advantageous.
