Job summary

Vanguard Energy Partners LLC seeks a Project Executive to lead large-scale solar and energy storage projects from planning through commissioning, coordinating clients, internal teams, and subcontractors to deliver on time, within scope, and on budget.

Travel is required. This senior role drives strategy, mitigates risk, and ensures exceptional delivery and client satisfaction while mentoring project managers and providing regular updates to executives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in project management.
• Experience in solar, renewable energy, or construction/EPC.
• Strong leadership, communication, and financial acumen.
• Proficiency with MS Project, Procore, Primavera.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of solar EPC and energy storage projects from pre-construction through delivery.
• Senior point of contact for clients, aligning with their goals and expectations.
• Oversee budgets, schedules, and resource allocation; ensure contract compliance and financial targets.
• Collaborate with engineering, procurement, construction, and O&M teams to drive success.
• Manage subcontractors and vendors to ensure safety and quality standards.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to project managers and team members.
• Participate in project reviews and executive updates.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards and permitting requirements.

The Project Executive is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing the successful execution of multiple, large-scale solar and energy storage projects. This individual serves as the primary liaison between clients, internal teams, and subcontractors, ensuring all phases of the project—from planning through commissioning—are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. The Project Executive will drive strategy, mitigate risk, and ensure exceptional delivery and client satisfaction. Travel will be required

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of solar EPC and energy storage projects from pre-construction through final delivery and close-out.
• Serve as the senior point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring alignment with their expectations and goals.
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation; ensure adherence to contract requirements and financial targets.
• Collaborate with internal engineering, procurement, construction, and O&M teams to drive project success.
• Manage subcontractors and vendors to ensure high-quality performance and compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Proactively identify project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to project managers and other team members.
• Participate in project reviews, internal and external reporting, and executive updates.
• Ensure all projects comply with applicable codes, standards, and permitting requirements.
• Support business development by contributing to proposal strategies, client presentations, and project estimation as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in project management, preferably in solar, renewable energy, or construction/EPC industries.
• Proven track record of managing complex, large-scale projects with multi-million-dollar budgets.
• Deep understanding of solar PV systems, energy storage systems, and O&M processes.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management, forecasting, and contract negotiations.
• Proficient in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Primavera, etc.)
