Job summary

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience across multiple organizational functions.
• Strong financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Fundraising, donor relationships, grants, and sponsorship experience.
• Experience establishing HR systems, policies, onboarding, and performance management.
• Proven ability to work with a Board of Trustees and senior leadership.
• Strategic planning, decision-making, and organizational problem-solving.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Commitment to animal welfare and the mission of Animal Friends Humane Society.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the organization’s business, financial, administrative, fundraising, HR, volunteer, and compliance systems.
• Develop and manage the annual operating budget, financial controls, and forecasting.
• Oversee HR processes, recruitment, compensation, and benefits administration.
• Drive fundraising strategy, donor cultivation, and donor stewardship.
• Provide leadership for volunteer programs and community engagement.
• Represent AFHS in community partnerships, donor relations, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with the Operations Director and Board on strategy, governance, and reporting.
