Job summary

Wellvana Health in Nashville is seeking a Sr. Director of Accounting to lead revenue accounting, technical accounting, and the financial reporting process. The Sr.

Director will report to the VP, Accounting & Controller, and focus on technical accounting guidance, preparing financial statements, and developing internal controls. Responsibilities include leading the annual audit, researching and documenting technical memos, preparing footnotes and disclosures, and maintaining SOX controls.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of GAAP, regulatory compliance, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
• Ability to manage overlapping deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience partnering with executive stakeholders (CFOs, CEOs, operational leaders) to align financial oversight with corporate goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead the annual audit engagement with outside auditors.
• Research and write technical accounting memos and provide technical accounting guidance.
• Preparation of financial statements and workbook for executive leadership team including footnotes, MD&A, and disclosures.
• Develop and execute SOX controls along with internal controls over financial reporting.
• Review payor contracts and translate to revenue accruals on a monthly basis.
• Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices.
• Maintain all of the shared savings / VBC receivable, partner & provider advances, accrued shared savings payable, and payor and partner payables account roll-forwards for multiple years.
