Job summary

Doherty Steel Inc. is seeking a Director of Project Management to provide strategic leadership for the project management department and portfolio of complex structural steel projects.

You will guide staffing, planning, execution, and financial control while partnering with estimating, detailing, fabrication, logistics, field operations, and executive leadership to maximize profitability and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field required or equivalent.
• 8–10 years' project management experience in structural steel/ commercial construction.
• 3–5 years leading Project Managers or similar roles preferred.
• Experience with budgeting, schedules, and change management.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop the Project Management team.
• Establish clear expectations, responsibilities, and performance standards.
• Oversee project budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
• Ensure proper staffing, planning, execution, and turnover-to-closeout.
• Manage client relations and external partnerships at senior level.
