Job summary

BLADE (HDT) is seeking a Sr. Director of Operations to lead manufacturing activities for Geneva, OH and Mansfield, OH sites. The role partners with senior leadership to drive strategic planning, cost management, and process optimization while ensuring quality and on-time delivery.

The position is primarily based in Geneva, OH with travel to Mansfield, OH, requiring strong leadership, financial acumen, and a track record in lean manufacturing and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or industrial engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations.
• Lean and Six Sigma experience with Kaizen, 5S, Kanban, and Value Stream Mapping.
• Financial oversight with large budgets, capital expenditure requests, and P&L accountability.
• ERP and MRP systems proficiency.
• Regulatory compliance with OSHA and ISO standards.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements short and long range objectives, aligned with company strategic initiatives.
• Directs facility-wide process optimization, strategic transformation and operational excellence.
• Drives continuous improvement initiatives for lean manufacturing across operations.
• Manages manufacturing to‑deliver product focusing on quality and on-time delivery.
• Develops budgets and oversees activities to meet financial objectives within schedules and budgets.
• Coordinates operations and communications across functional areas and sites.
• Demonstrates leadership to drive problem solving and KPI achievement.
• Participates in proposals for new business based on RFP/RFQ requirements.
• Ensures operations comply with company policies, procedures and regulations.
• Establishes and maintains satisfactory customer and public relations.
