Cantex Continuing Care Network in Cedar Hill, TX is seeking a Director of Nursing Services (DON) to lead the SNF's clinical operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive quality outcomes. The DON provides strategic leadership to nursing staff, oversees planning, development, and direction of the Nursing Department in alignment with state, federal, and facility standards.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience as a DON or ADON in a Skilled Nursing Facility.
• Strong knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations.
• Experience with survey readiness and Plans of Correction (POCs).
• Demonstrated leadership to coach, mentor, and develop nursing staff.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership to ensure high-quality resident care and regulatory compliance.
• Direct and support nursing staff in delivering safe, effective, and compassionate care.
• Oversee comprehensive care planning and ensure interdisciplinary coordination.
• Uphold resident rights, including dignity, privacy, informed consent, and safety.
• Ensure timely communication with physicians, families, and responsible parties about condition changes.
• Participate in pre-admission assessments and approve admissions with Administrator coordination.
