Job summary

Rockport Healthcare Services seeks a Director of Nursing Services RN to lead and manage Nursing Services for residents, ensuring 24-hour supervision and adherence to physician orders, policies, and regulatory requirements.

The role requires a nursing leadership background, education from an accredited program, and current RN licensure, with a focus on quality care and coordination with physicians, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
• Experience in nursing service administration or supervision in a health facility.
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations including Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care reimbursement rules.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a long-term care environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate plans for the total care of each resident per physician orders and facility policies.
• Develop nursing service objectives, standards for nursing practice, and written job descriptions for each level of nursing personnel.
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise nursing personnel.
• Assist in controlling nursing service hours and supply costs and determine staffing needs.
• Communicate with doctors, residents, and families about resident health and needs.
