Job summary
Rockport Healthcare Services in Oakland, CA seeks an Assistant Director of Nurses to support the Director of Nurses in supervision, staffing, and policy implementation within the skilled nursing facility.
You will review orders, monitor resident records, coordinate admissions and discharges, and lead nursing staff meetings to ensure high-quality resident care and compliance with state and federal regulations.
A valid RN license and at least two years of supervisory experience are required.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current LVN/RN licensure in the practicing state.
- Minimum of two years' supervisory experience.
- Demonstrates leadership and effective communication.
- Working knowledge of nursing facility laws and regulations.
- Good mental and physical health.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Director of Nurses in staffing, orientation and supervision.
- Periodically review residents’ records and reports.
- Inform the Director of potential problems within the nursing department.
- Review physician orders and ensure completeness of transfers/admissions.
- Ensure accuracy of chart transcriptions and medication sheets.
- Assist in admitting, transferring and discharging residents.
- Coordinate skin assessment rounds with the Treatment Nurse.
