RTX (Raytheon) Collins Aerospace Interiors is seeking an Associate Director of Engineering - Seating Products in Winston-Salem, NC. This onsite role leads mechanical seating design across several programs, ensuring quality, schedule adherence, and customer commitments.

You will drive resources, mentor engineers, and ensure compliance with industry standards while pushing innovation and efficiency in a heavily regulated aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience
• Experience leading design efforts across multiple concurrent programs
• Experience with resource prioritization to support program execution
• Experience delivering products in a heavily regulated environment

Responsibilities

• Lead product design efforts across multiple concurrent seating programs, ensuring design accuracy, quality, and adherence to timelines
• Prioritize engineering resources effectively to meet program and customer requirements
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance engineering efficiency and execution
• Oversee the technical development and leadership growth of the engineering team
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies throughout the design process
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in mechanical design processes
• Maintain accountability for meeting customer commitments and delivering high-quality seating products
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless program execution
