Job summary

EMPath is seeking a Senior Director of Development in Boston to lead the advancement team's fundraising strategy and revenue growth. The role will build goals, manage a small team, and deepen major donor and institutional partnerships with the CAO and CEO.

You will oversee grants, events, planned giving, and monthly giving programs, while ensuring donor communications and reporting meet high standards. Hybrid work with in-person twice weekly.

Qualifications

• 7+ years nonprofit development experience.
• 7+ years frontline major gift fundraising experience.
• 2+ years people management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree required; master's degree or CFRE preferred.
• Cover Letter submitted with your application.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy including major gifts, grants, annual giving, and corporate partnerships.
• Achieve annual and multi-year revenue goals and assist in meeting departmental goals.
• Manage portfolio of major donor prospects and steward donor relationships.
• Oversee grant writing, reports, site visits, and stewardship communications.
• Plan and execute donor events including galas and conferences.
• Develop planned giving and monthly giving programs.
• Collaborate with leadership and Board to advance fundraising priorities.
• Document donor interactions and ensure proper acknowledgement and recognition.
