Job summary

EMPath seeks a Senior Director of Development to lead EMPath’s development strategy, manage a small team, and grow major donor programs in Boston. You will partner with the CAO and CEO to align fundraising with budget goals and deepen relationships with funders at all levels.

You will oversee a portfolio of major donors, guide grant activities, and drive growth in individual giving, institutional partnerships, and donor events. A strong writing background and leadership ability are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree or CFRE preferred.
• 7+ years frontline major gift fundraising experience.
• 2+ years people management experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy with major gifts, grants, annual giving, and corporate partnerships.
• Achieve annual and multi-year revenue goals for the organization.
• Manage a portfolio of major donors and oversee grant activities and donor communications.
• Plan and execute EMPath’s gala and discretionary donor events.
