Walker Therapeutic & Educational Programs in Needham, MA, is seeking a Director of Communications to lead a strategic, mission-driven communications function. You will elevate impact, strengthen reputation, and deepen engagement with families, donors, partners, and communities through compelling storytelling and disciplined messaging.

You will partner with the CEO and SLT to guide communications for advocacy, program growth, philanthropy, and organizational change, while ensuring accessibility

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, English, Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in communications, public relations, marketing, media relations, or corporate communications.
• Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience with responsibility for developing and executing strategic communications initiatives.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy aligned with Walker’s mission and priorities.
• Lead brand stewardship, storytelling, and editorial standards across internal and external channels.
• Oversee media relations, content creation, digital campaigns, and executive communications.
