Job summary

The Center for Jewish Philanthropy in Greater Phoenix seeks a Senior Director of Civic Engagement & Combating Antisemitism to lead advocacy, policy development, and K-12 engagement across the community. You will build strategic relationships with government officials, school leaders, and community partners, reporting to the COO in a senior leadership capacity.

Responsibilities include planning Jewish Advocacy Day at the Arizona State Capitol, mobilizing volunteers, coordinating with school

Qualifications

• Five to seven years of advocacy, government affairs, or related experience.
• Proven success building relationships with officials, policymakers, and educational leaders.
• Strong knowledge of legislative processes and public policy.
• Experience in Arizona public policy or education systems preferred.
• Excellent communication and public speaking skills.
• Ability to drive initiatives from concept to execution.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with local/state officials and policymakers.
• Monitor legislation and develop advocacy strategies.
• Prepare policy briefings, talking points, and recommendations.
• Lead Jewish Advocacy Day at the Arizona State Capitol and civic engagement opportunities.
• Recruit and mobilize volunteer advocates and lay leaders.
• Collaborate with school districts and educational leaders.

Education

Bachelor's degree

Advanced degree preferred
