Job summary

Iterable, the AI customer engagement platform, seeks a Senior Director of Security Engineering in Denver to lead Product, Platform, and Cloud security, detection and response, and incident readiness.

This role partners with Engineering, Legal, Finance and other teams to set strategy, build an AI-forward security roadmap, and drive resilience, post-incident improvements, and talent development across a growing security organization.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in security engineering or related technical security discipline.
• 7+ years leading security organizations.
• Experience setting strategy across multiple security functions.
• Strong grounding in application security, cloud security, detection and response, automation, and vulnerability management.
• Experience managing budgets, vendors, organizational design, and investments.
• Track record of developing talent, focus, delivery, and leading through ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Define a multi-year Security Engineering strategy aligned to priorities.
• Lead and develop managers and senior technical leaders.
• Establish operating mechanisms for accountability and delivery visibility.
• Build an AI-forward security roadmap for security engineering and operations.
• Mature security across application, cloud, detection and response, and vulnerability management.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, IT, GRC, Legal, Finance, and Customer teams to enable secure outcomes.
• Own planning, budget, vendor strategy, headcount, and investments.
• Advise executives and Board on security posture and risks.
