Job summary

Alliance Resource Group is seeking a Senior Director of Corporate Accounting in Vernon, CA, a hybrid role with three days on-site weekly. The position oversees the corporate accounting function, multi-entity consolidations, and SEC reporting, reporting to the CAO with a hands-on leadership style.

You will guide the close process, strengthen internal controls, and mentor the accounting team while partnering with FP&A and operations to support growing channels including retail and wholesale.

Qualifications

• CPA required.
• Approximately 10–15 years of progressive accounting experience, including significant team leadership.
• Direct industry experience owning accounting within a public-company environment.
• Apparel, fashion retail or comparable consumer experience across multiple locations and channels.
• Strong U.S. GAAP, consolidation, SEC and SOX knowledge.
• Big 4 or other top-tier public accounting experience strongly preferred.
• NetSuite strongly preferred; extensive equivalent enterprise ERP experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual close across the corporate general ledger.
• Oversee multi-entity and international consolidations, intercompany accounting, fixed assets and balance-sheet reconciliations.
• Review financial statements, reporting packages and variance analyses.
• Support SEC reporting and technical accounting matters while strengthening SOX controls and documentation.

• Develop accounting managers and staff, establish clear accountability and improve close efficiency.
• Partner with FP&A, Operations, Supply Chain and Technology as the business grows.

Compensation: $220,000–$230,000 base + 15% bonus eligibility

Alliance Resource Group is partnering with a growing consumer business to identify a Senior Director of Corporate Accounting. The company operates across retail, direct-to-consumer and wholesale channels, with international operations and a meaningful investment in strengthening its accounting organization. Working closely with an engaged Chief Accounting Officer, this leader will own corporate accounting execution, develop the team and improve the processes and controls supporting the business. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys building capability and taking responsibility for results.
