Job summary

AIR Communities, a leading real estate investment firm, seeks a Director, Investments to lead acquisition and disposition activity across markets from New York, Denver, Chicago, and more. You will identify, evaluate, and close high-value deals while partnering with AIR and Blackstone leaders to move opportunities from origination to closing.

Ideal candidates have 7–10+ years in multifamily investments, with a strong network of brokers and owners, deep market knowledge, and outstanding

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, business, economics, or related field.
• 7–10+ years of multifamily investment/transactions experience.
• Strong executive presence and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and advance multifamily acquisition opportunities.
• Lead market coverage and relationship development with brokers, owners, operators, and partners.
• Drive disposition processes including value opinions, marketing strategy, buyer outreach, diligence coordination, and closing.
• Coordinate underwriting, due diligence, investment committee materials, and legal documentation.
• Lead, mentor and manage a team supporting underwriting and transaction execution.
• Negotiate letters of intent and purchase agreements with internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure disciplined execution.
• Travel regularly to build relationships and support deal execution.
