Qualifications

• 8+ years experience in communications or marketing, with media relations focus.
• Corporate communications experience preferred.
• Solid understanding of the agency/broader marketing industry.
• Strong writing and communications skills.
• Experience managing or mentoring others.
• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize across multiple workstreams.
• Curious, creative, and self-driven.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a proactive media relations strategy.
• Elevate GALE and its leaders through meaningful coverage in ad trades and business publications.
• Own and manage GALE’s press relationships from ideation through pitching.
• Partner with agency and client team leads to surface and shape stories.
• Stay ahead of industry trends and inject GALE subject matter experts into the cultural conversation.
• Build annual awards strategy and craft submissions across agency, creative, and people awards.
• Drive thought leadership initiatives and events.
• Advise across internal and external brand materials.
• Strengthen internal processes and tracking/reporting.
• Mentor and support junior team members across owned-channel strategy and material reviews.
• Partner closely with the Vice President, Corporate Communications, and collaborative team members to drive communications strategy and execution.
