Job summary

Federation of American Scientists is seeking an inaugural Associate Director, Individual Giving & Donor Relations to design and stand up the organization’s first major gifts function. You’ll build a multi-year giving strategy, cultivate high-net-worth donors, and work with the CEO and Board to embed donor-centric fundraising into the organization’s culture.

You will report to the Director of Partnerships and lead the development of the individual giving portfolio, with travel across the country

Qualifications

• Designed fundraising strategies where none existed.
• Built major gifts programs and translated strategies into revenue growth.
• Earned trust with high-net-worth donors and secured unrestricted gifts.
• Designed multi-year giving strategies and closed six-figure gifts.

Responsibilities

• Qualify prospects and manage a donor portfolio.
• Develop cultivation and solicitation strategies for each donor.
• Build multi-year giving plans and engage senior leadership.
• Advance donor relationships and giving opportunities with the CEO and Board.
• Operate the individual giving program end to end as a self-directed builder.
