Job summary

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in a relevant scientific field (cell biology, biochemistry, biology, or Life Sciences).
• Established track record leading teams in an industrial environment.
• Experience setting strategy and monitoring delivery.

Responsibilities

• Manage a high-performing team of Directors and Group leaders across multiple disciplines.
• Use scientific background to establish new business lines, products and capabilities.
• Contribute to R&D success by understanding business impact and strategy.
• Develop relationships with stakeholders to shape Abcam’s future and sustain success.
• Lead evaluation and decision making on new ideas and implementation into projects.
• Influence senior leaders within and outside the company.
• Provide leadership to maximize team performance and retention.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration and engage external collaborators.
• Drive innovation to create potential revenue streams.
• Facilitate information sharing across working groups.
