Job summary

Avolta is seeking a Senior Director of Labor Relations to lead the development and execution of labor strategies, ensure compliance with laws, and manage national and local union relationships. The role may be remote in parts of the West or based at the Bethesda, MD location.

The position requires extensive leadership in bargaining and policy implementation, with travel up to 60% and collaboration with Finance, Operations, and People & Culture to align budgets and labor objectives.

Qualifications

• Education and experience requirements total over 10 years, including leadership in labor relations.
• Experience in hospitality, F&B and/or retail with Unite HERE is preferred.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and strategic thinking required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior leadership to develop labor strategies and programs.
• Develop and apply policies for labor relations practices and compliance.
• Manage unions relations and provide guidance on disputes, negotiations, and arbitration.
