Job summary

Pennsylvania State University is seeking a Senior Director of IT Service Strategy to lead the transition to a service-optimized IT operating model. This role will direct Service Owners across Platform, Mission, and Unit portfolios, report to the Deputy CIO, and drive service excellence and customer-focused outcomes.

The position requires Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of relevant experience, including 5+ years in supervision, with a hybrid work model and on-site presence at University Park.

Qualifications

• Progressive leadership experience in IT service management and product management.
• Experience coaching leaders and building operating practices across a complex organization.
• Strong understanding of ITSM, service governance, portfolio management, and lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Service Owner function across enterprise, mission, and unit services.
• Define enterprise service management practices and governance standards.
• Drive service portfolio performance, cost management, and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Develop service business plans, value propositions, and SLAs.
• Identify cross-portfolio opportunities and promote shared solutions.
