Job summary

University of Chicago Athletics is seeking a Deputy/Senior Associate Director to lead internal operations and support the student-athlete experience. You will oversee compliance, student-athlete development, and department-wide strategic initiatives while coordinating events, marketing, and fan engagement.

The role reports to the Director of Athletics and Recreation and requires seven years of athletic administration and strong managerial capabilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.
• Advanced degree required.
• Seven years of athletic administration experience and managerial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily department management in the Director of Athletics absence.
• Oversee internal operations and strategic initiatives of the department.
• Represent the University of Chicago Athletics Department as SWA.
• Develop and maintain departmental policies and student-athlete handbook.
• Supervise sport administrator program and athletic programs.
• Ensure compliance with NCAA rules and university policies.
• Develop marketing/promotions plans for home events and fan engagement.
• Oversee communications and social media for the department.
• Coordinate event management and facility scheduling.
• Manage a team of managers and professionals in athletics programs.
