Job summary

JLL in Reston, VA seeks a Director of Integrated Facilities Management to lead operational excellence across a 200-site domestic portfolio with a matrixed team of 140 JLLers. You’ll drive EH&S compliance, work order management, and vendor coordination for IFM service delivery.

You’ll manage budgets, identify cost-saving strategies, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Strong leadership, communication, and strategic thinking are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive facilities management experience, with at least 4+ years in a senior leadership role managing large-scale, multi-site portfolios of 100+ locations.
• Proven track record of managing complex client accounts with teams of 100+ employees and annual budgets exceeding $10 million.
• Expertise in integrated facilities management operations including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety systems, building automation technologies, and audio visual support.
• Demonstrated success leading and developing high-performing teams in a fast-paced, geographically dispersed environment.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in operational and capital budget development, forecasting, variance analysis, and cost optimization strategies.
• Excellent communication and executive presence with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and coordinate multiple service lines.

Responsibilities

• Direct all aspects of integrated facilities management operations across sites, including HVAC, building automation, janitorial, AV, EH&S compliance, and maintenance.
• Develop and manage operational and capital budgets, align with client goals, identify cost-saving strategies and value-add initiatives.
• Hire, attract, and retain top talent; coach and provide feedback to build high-performing teams.
• Oversee third-party vendor delivery, negotiate contracts, monitor performance, and ensure SLAs are met.
• Coordinate multiple service lines to achieve client satisfaction and build strong stakeholder relationships.
• Manage work order systems and CMMS for transparent, data-driven decisions and audit-ready records.
• Identify account growth opportunities and drive continuous improvements in efficiency and safety.
