Job summary

United Bank seeks a Director of Insurance Solutions to lead insurance and annuity strategies for the Brokerage division. You will collaborate with Financial Advisors and Relationship Managers to design needs-based, compliant solutions and oversee training, client consultations, and ongoing product development.

You will manage relationships with carriers and IMOs, ensuring risk-managed delivery and alignment with wealth strategies across client experiences.

Qualifications

• Ten years of experience delivering insurance solutions
• Life & Health Insurance Licenses required; advanced designations preferred
• Experience in needs-based selling and consultative sales processes
• Bank, brokerage, or wealth management environment experience preferred
• Strong client-facing skills and ability to simplify complex concepts
• Ability to tailor presentations and recommendations to client goals

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, coaching, and development to the Insurance Specialist and broader team
• Act as senior insurance authority across Wealth and Brokerage channels
• Build relationships with Wealth, Retail, Commercial, and Corporate leaders to embed insurance expertise
• Develop partnerships with IMOs, BGAs, and carrier partners to expand product capabilities
• Partner with Advisors to understand client goals and develop insurance solutions
• Meet with clients to communicate product features, value, and risks
• Oversee insurance reviews for regulatory compliance and opportunities
• Lead training programs for bank personnel on insurance solutions and referrals
• Conduct educational sessions for branch employees to improve financial literacy
• Coach advisors on consultative sales practices and regulatory requirements
• Develop non-interest income streams through partnerships and referrals
• Drive insurance solutions for new and existing Wealth/Brokerage clients
• Share market insights to influence product strategy
• Ensure alignment of insurance solutions with broader wealth strategies and client experience goals
• Maintain compliant processes and documentation per internal controls and regulatory standards
