Job description

The Director of Electrical Infrastructure reports to the Vice President of Technical Development (ATS) and will be responsible for leading the eMobility and Microgrid Technical Team. They will also assist the VP in identifying opportunities, qualifying prospects, resource allocation, and creating processes for pursuing eMobility and Microgrid projects.

The primary responsibilities of the Director include:

1. Leading the eMobility and Microgrid Technical Team
2. Supporting sales team efforts on RFP and ABM-driven pursuits within the division
3. Serving as a technical resource for other ABM divisions in eMobility and Microgrid projects

This role involves guiding team members and clients towards optimal solutions, fostering a performance-oriented culture aligned with ABM’s standards, and supporting strategic objectives. The position requires a keen awareness of industry trends and market dynamics that influence business innovation.

Minimum qualifications include:

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering
• Effective communication skills in English, both written and oral
• Proficiency in technical writing
• Knowledge of current electrical standards and sustainability guidelines
• Experience with power system studies, interconnection reports, and electrical design
• Willingness to travel up to 35%
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• At least 5 years in electrical system design and development
• At least 10 years in electrical infrastructure design, development, and project management, especially in Microgrid and EV infrastructure

Preferred qualifications include:

• Electrical PE licensure
• Advanced degrees (e.g., MSEE, PhD, MBA)
• PMP certification
• Experience with CRM systems like Salesforce
• Experience in electrical power infrastructure design and construction management
• Passion for energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives

The salary range for this position is $165,000 - $195,000, with potential eligibility for bonuses and comprehensive benefits, including health, retirement, and fringe benefits.
