Comic Relief US in New York City seeks a Senior Director of Individual Giving to lead and scale our multi-channel philanthropy program. You will oversee digital fundraising, monthly giving, leadership donors, and major gifts, while mentoring a small team and partnering with executive leadership to align fundraising with strategic priorities.

The role emphasizes data-driven strategy, donor retention, compelling storytelling, and campaign optimization across channels.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive fundraising experience with a focus on individual giving.
• Proven track record building and growing multi-channel donor programs.
• Demonstrated success in cultivating and closing major gifts.
• Strong leadership, team management, and collaboration skills.
• Data-driven mindset with experience using analytics to inform decisions.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive individual giving strategy to increase revenue across channels.
• Set and achieve ambitious annual fundraising goals aligned with organizational priorities.
• Partner with executive leadership to integrate individual giving into broader development and marketing strategies.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of three and foster a culture of collaboration and growth.
• Oversee donor programs including monthly giving and major gifts portfolios.
• Design and implement a major gifts strategy with portfolio development and stewardship plans.
• Personally manage a portfolio of high-capacity donors and prospects.
