Metropolis is seeking a Senior Director of Indirect Tax to build and scale our tax operations during rapid growth. You will own strategy, system transformations, AI-driven analytics, and risk management across sales/use tax, VAT/GST, and licensing in the US and Canada.

You will lead a team of about 5 tax professionals, oversee filings, audits, and policy development, and drive automation with ONESOURCE/Vertex within ERP environments.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of indirect tax leadership in fast-growing tech, mobility, or marketplace companies.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Taxation, or related field; CPA required.
• Expert knowledge of 50-state US sales/use tax; knowledge of VAT/GST helps.

Responsabilités

• Build and mentor a tax team of ~5, overseeing indirect tax returns across 50 states and Canada.
• Oversee tax determinations, payments, and balance sheet reconciliations for indirect taxes.
• Lead audits, notices, and disputes with cross-functional partners and external advisors.
• Collaborate on tax policy, controls, and risk assessment across jurisdictions.
• Drive automation and AI-driven analytics; implement tax tech (ONESOURCE/Vertex) within ERP.
• Create dashboards and reporting for compliance performance and strategic decisions.
