Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Scientific Associate Director, Human Disease Biology, Inflammation Research, to lead disease biology discovery efforts at the intersection of multi-omics and human data. Qualifications

• PhD, PharmD, or MD with relevant scientific experience.
• Master's degree with 7 years of relevant scientific experience.
• Bachelor's degree with 9 years of relevant scientific experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a disease-focused discovery strategy leveraging multi-omic and human data to deepen mechanistic understanding of diseases.
• Lead cross-functional scientific initiatives integrating genetics, single-cell biology, spatial biology, proteomics, and computation to identify therapeutic targets and biomarkers.
• Drive generation and interpretation of multimodal datasets and translate findings into actionable hypotheses for target discovery and program prioritization.
• Mentor scientists and foster rigorous, collaborative, and innovative scientific practices across project teams.
• Design and oversee internal and external collaborations with academic investigators, clinical researchers, consortia, and technology partners.
