Job summary

Lilly is seeking a Senior Director, HSE for the Concord Plant to lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of HSE programs across site operations. You will ensure regulatory compliance and drive safety, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement within GMP manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Experience leading HSE programs in manufacturing settings (pharma, chemicals, food & beverage).
• Experience implementing environmental compliance programs per regulatory requirements.
• Experience interfacing with regulatory agencies on HSE matters.
• Bachelor's degree and 10–15 years in a leadership role managing HSE teams/projects.
• Ability to collaborate with Site Leadership and communicate across all organizational levels.
• Track record of building high-performing, engaged teams focused on safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide program ownership for the HSE Management System to ensure regulatory and Lilly standards compliance.
• Define and support site HSE priorities and roadmap with cross-functional partners.
• Develop and manage HSE initiatives, plans, and metrics.
• Ensure regulatory reporting requirements are met.
• Benchmark best practices across the network and externally.
• Develop leadership for site and global HSE roles; escalate critical issues as needed.
