Job summary

MTA Headquarters seeks a Senior Director, HR Business Partner to lead HR strategies across the LIRR and agency, aligning workforce planning, compensation, and employee relations with organizational goals.

Responsibilities include guiding HRBP teams, advising senior management, and ensuring policy compliance while driving strategic people initiatives in a dynamic public sector environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, I/O psychology, business, public administration or related field.
• Minimum 12 years related experience, including at least 6 years in a management and/or project manager role in a large organization.
• Minimum 7 years of experience managing a professional staff.
• Master’s degree preferred; professional certifications (PHR/SHRM-SCP) advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan, review, and execute HR strategies aligned with agency business goals.
• Lead the LIRR HRBP team to translate enterprise HR strategies to the Agency.
• Advise senior management and partner with departments on workforce planning and organizational design.
• Oversee HR policy administration and compliance with laws and regulations.
• Manage communications and analytics to assess program effectiveness and adoption.
