Indiana University in Indianapolis is seeking a Sr. Operational Financial Aid leader to guide policy development, oversee scholarships, and manage mature financial aid operations across graduate and professional programs.

You will interpret federal, state, and university regulations, lead a large team, and ensure awarding integrity while aligning with institutional enrollment goals. This role requires strong leadership, collaboration, and budget oversight at IU Indianapolis.

Qualifications

Required Bachelor’s degree in business, public policy, or related field.
Preferred Master’s degree in related field.
Required 4 years in student services, enrollment management, higher education student affairs, or related field.
1 year of management experience in relevant field.
Preferred 5 years of progressive experience in financial aid; 6+ years preferred.
Required Proficient written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Provides leadership and coordination of staff to define financial aid methodologies.
Establishes short- and long-term operational objectives and project timelines.
Conducts personnel actions including hiring, promotion, performance management.
Manages high-level allocations of financial aid/scholarships resources.
Makes budgetary recommendations and ensures cost containment.
Researches industry standards and implements new protocols to address needs.
Works with leaders across departments to set standards and best practices.
Prepares management reports for senior administration and committees.
