Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from a top-tier U.S. law school; active state bar membership.
• 10+ years of federal legislative affairs, government relations, regulatory law, or public policy experience in Washington, D.C.
• Capitol Hill experience as Counsel, Senior Counsel, or Legislative Assistant to a Senator, Representative, or Committee.
• High familiarity with CPSC rules, BIS trade/export controls, and CIFIUS investment oversight processes.
• Strong understanding of both legislative processes and executive rulemaking/implementation.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal negotiation skills with bipartisan collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead policy engagement and legislative strategy in Washington, D.C.
• Advise on regulations from CPSC and BIS; monitor export controls and trade compliance
• Provide high-level risk assessment and policy counsel to executive leadership
• Engage with trade associations and coalitions on trade, energy efficiency, and product safety
• Map legislative and executive policy pathways to support corporate objectives in North America
