Job summary

Midea America Corp. Senior Corporate Counsel – Sales Operations leads strategic legal support for the North American sales organization. You will advise on commercial contracts, promotions, and governance while partnering with the Head of Legal to optimize policies and processes.

This role also focuses on mentoring junior staff, shaping templates and playbooks, and ensuring alignment between legal guidance and commercial objectives in a multinational manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree and license to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 10+ years of legal experience in a law firm and/or in-house setting.
• Strong commercial contracting and business counselling experience.

Responsibilities

• Counsel sales teams on commercial contracts, pricing programs, promotions, and customer-facing initiatives.
• Review and negotiate sales, distribution, supply, and marketing agreements.
• Provide guidance on advertising, promotional materials, and product claims.
• Support corporate governance, compliance programs, and employment-related matters.
• Improve legal processes, develop templates and playbooks, and support operational efficiency.
• Mentor junior legal talent and serve as a strategic sounding board to the Head of Legal.
