Job summary

IDEMIA Public Security is seeking a Senior Director of Program Management to lead large-scale programs within IPS North America, including the TSA Universal Enrollment Services Program. The role requires directing cross-functional teams, defining objectives, budgets, risks, and ensuring on-time delivery while collaborating with senior leadership.

Candidates should have extensive program management experience, government-facing work, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience including 5 years in project/program management in a customer-facing role.
• Extensive program management experience in leading cross-functional teams on multiple complex software development and system integration projects.
• PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage a geographically distributed or matrix team.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities concurrently.
• Prior experience working with state or federal government agencies.
• Excellent internal and external written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office applications including MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio.
• Demonstrated successful track record delivering complex information technology-based systems.
• Ability to collaborate with and manage vendors as outlined in statement of work.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Program Planning: Defining program scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines in alignment with business strategy, collaborating with stakeholders to establish clear expectations.
• Team Leadership: Managing and developing a team of program managers, assigning tasks, providing guidance, and fostering collaboration across diverse functions.
• Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Tracking program progress against key metrics, identifying potential risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies, and regularly communicating updates to senior leadership.
• Budget Management: Overseeing program budgets, allocating resources effectively, and ensuring cost-efficiency throughout the program lifecycle.
• Stakeholder Management: Building strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executives, cross-functional teams, and external partners, to align program goals and address concerns.
• Change Management: Leading change initiatives within the program, managing stakeholder expectations, and facilitating smooth transitions during implementation.
• Risk Mitigation: Identifying potential risks, developing mitigation plans, and proactively addressing issues to minimize program impact.
• Process Improvement: Implementing best practices in program management, identifying opportunities for optimization, and driving continuous improvement across teams.
• Talent Development: Coaching and mentoring program managers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team.
