Job summary

Precision Medicine Group seeks a senior leader to guide cross-functional project teams in planning, execution, and governance of clinical study programs on a global scale.

Responsibilities include leadership of Project Directors/PMs, oversight of clinical programs, budget optimization, and stakeholder interaction with sponsors. Travel domestically and internationally is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science/health field; advanced degree preferred.
• At least 10 years in clinical research with PM and line management experience.
• Working knowledge of GCP/ICH guidelines and the clinical development process.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage collaboration within Project Directors and Project Managers in planning, execution and governance of projects/portfolios on a global platform.
• Provide leadership and oversight on all clinical programs and, in some cases, manage activities.
• Interact with study sponsors as primary escalation point beyond project management.
• Optimize profitability of the Project Management organization to meet or exceed budget targets.
• Assess and manage resource allocations to ensure cost, time and quality goals are met.
• Select, train, develop and manage the performance of talent in project leadership positions.
• Provide technical support and guidance to assigned project managers.
• Identify and escalate impacts to project scope, resources, schedule or budget.
• Ensure project leadership personnel work to high quality standards and regulatory compliance.
• Participate with Business Development in proposals and budgeting, bid defense preparation and attendance.
• Understand and manage inter-dependencies to achieve milestones/deliverables.
• Conduct evaluations and implement changes for projects including recovery or rescoping.
• Measure and report KPIs and lead continuous improvement.
• Align with Precision’s values of quality, people, clients and performance.
• Manage workload of supervised staff with ongoing assessment and coaching.
