Job summary

PTC Therapeutics, Inc. is seeking a Senior Director, Clinical Development to provide strategic input across all phases of drug development. You will work with the R&D leader to set CDPs, oversee trials, and ensure GCP compliance while coordinating with clinical operations, safety, biostatistics, and regulatory affairs.

Multinational collaboration, external partnerships, and KOL engagement are key components. Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills are required.

Qualifications

• MD degree and at least 5 years of clinical drug development experience in pharma/biotech.
• Experience leading large, multi-country clinical development programs with regulatory submissions.

Responsibilities

• Lead global clinical development strategy for assigned indication or area.
• Design and ensure CDPs enable clinical and commercial objectives.
• Manage external partnerships (CROs, vendors) and budgets.
• Be medically responsible for clinical studies and analyze results.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support CDPs and regulatory submissions.
• Ensure adherence to GCP, SOPs and regulatory requirements.
• Represent Clinical Development in external meetings and reviews.
• Mentor direct reports and support additional tasks as needed.
