Roblox Corporation in San Mateo, CA, seeks a Director of Engineering to own the transformation of Roblox Studio into an AI-Native IDE.

You will architect production-grade agentic AI systems embedded in the creation engine used by millions of creators, set engineering quality bars, and lead senior engineers across multiple teams.

This role requires 15+ years of engineering leadership and a track record delivering large-scale platforms with deep experience in LLM-powered systems and developer tools.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of engineering leadership experience.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale platforms/architectural transitions.
• Deep experience with LLM-powered and agentic systems.
• Strong background in developer tools or IDE-like platforms.

Responsabilités

• Own the technical direction and delivery of Studio's AI-Native IDE strategy.
• Build and scale agentic AI systems that are production-grade and reliable.
• Set and uphold the engineering quality bar for AI systems inside Studio.
• Lead senior engineers and managers across multiple teams.
• Drive alignment and execution across Studio, Creator, Foundation AI, Safety, and Infrastructure.
• Partner with executive leadership to translate long-term AI strategy into durable roadmaps.
