Job summary

Shamrock Foods Company seeks a Director of Food Safety & Quality Systems to lead enterprise food safety and quality programs, including FSMA, HACCP, SQF and GMP. This role collaborates with division quality leaders to implement policies ensuring compliance with regulatory, third-party and customer requirements.

The candidate will oversee audits, develop SQF procedures, and drive continuous improvement across multiple facilities, while partnering with R&D and IT/IS to scale the QMS roadmap.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in food safety & quality assurance
• 3+ years of direct management experience
• Working knowledge of regulatory compliance with USDA, FDA, CFR, PMO and implementing third-party auditing schemes (GFSI, SQF).
• Demonstrated expertise in Dairy, meat, seafood and edible oils manufacturing and processing including UHT manufacturing.
• Ability to review regulatory requirements and evaluate compliance, and experience with regulatory inspections.
• 20% plus travel required.
• Must be flexible and willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Develop Food Safety Plan by hazard evaluation, preventive controls and verification.
• Maintain GMP, cGMPs.
• Serve as SME on FDA & USDA regulations and PMO, CFR & FSMA.
• Ensure audit readiness and co-host regulatory inspections.
• Develop and validate SQF program procedures and policies.
• Drive audit process standardization across Shamrock Enterprise.
• Coordinate all regulatory, customer and third-party audits.
• Engage with suppliers on vendor quality standards and reviews.
• Collaborate with R&D on product formulations and label compliance.
