The role ensures funding visibility and leads financial reviews, trend analysis, and forecast monitoring for leadership. The position requires eight years of related experience, a Bachelor's degree, and strong skills in modeling, governance, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Eight years of related financial management, financial planning and analysis, or institutional stewardship experience in a university, health care institution, or comparably complex organization.
• Strong ability to maintain and interpret sophisticated financial models. Working knowledge of university funding sources and restrictions.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred; CPA certification noted as a valued credential.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and monitors financial models and tracking mechanisms supporting major institutional commitments, investments, and management decisions; ensures commitments are appropriately encumbered, funding sources are identified, and unfunded or underfunded commitments are surfaced before they become problems.
• Provides ongoing financial monitoring and performance assessment across schools and units, including forecast monitoring and reconciliation.
• Partners with school leaders and business partners to lead periodic financial reviews of schools, units, and programs; identifies financial issues and trends and partners with unit leadership on resolution.
• Produces management reporting and trend analysis for the Vice Chancellor and senior finance leadership, providing visibility into institutional financial exposure and obligations.
• Provides ad hoc financial analysis and management support to the Vice Chancellor and senior finance leadership as needed.
